Main Article Content
Abstract
On the one hand, this article seeks to explore potential definitions of “theology” and its scientific dimension. On the other hand, it presents observations and considerations with respect to its position at the university and within society (with a focus on German-speaking countries). Adding orthodox perspectives to this examination expands the (possible) understanding(s) of “theology”. This will be illustrated on the example of liturgics, that is, liturgics will serve as the exemplary theological discipline under closer analysis.
