Multi-generational (co-)living – a model for the future Community and care in vulnerable situations to counter loneliness
Main Article Content
Abstract
Studies show that loneliness leads to illness. Yet, we live in an individualized society, which is also reflected in how we live and our homes. In this article, I analyze the transition from multi-generational homes to individualized living. I will show that especially persons in vulnerable situations depend on living within a community. Finally, I will present different models of living arrangements for the future, which focus on cooperation. I will examine if these living arrangements are suitable for persons in vulnerable situations.
